It’s a blog

Volunteering is the way to go!  You may ask what is the point in volunteering when you can do something that you can get paid for???  That is a very good question but i have the answers, so lets get started:

1.  It’ll make you feel better to help someone.

2.  It makes you apart of the community.

3.  You have to have 100 hours of community service to graduate.

4.  Your mark will be put in history.

5.  You’re a good person.

That is just a few reasons.  There are many many more reasons but i think if you are interested in learning about them then you can look them up.  Oh also if you go to my school and want to do community service talk to me and we’ll get you signed up for Key Club.  It’s a great opportunity to get to know the community and it looks great on college applications.

Like many my hero is one of my parents.  My hero is my dad.  He is in the army and is fighting for others freedom everyday.  For the past year he has been in Afghanistan.  I have to say it has been hard but the only way for me to feel any better is to remember what exactly he is doing.  It’s the most courageous thing I’ve ever hear off.  There isn’t that many people who put there life’s on line for the freedom of others.  I may not see him that much, but the reason i don’t makes up for it.  I love my dad, he’s always tried to be there any chance he could and even when he can’t he still tries his hardest.  If i didn’t have my dad I wouldn’t be the person I am today.  Because of him i try my hardest in EVERYTHING, do my best i can possibly do, and respect everyone that deserves respect.  I have the greatest dad imaginable.

Are they black with white stripes or white with black stripes???  I guess it’s just 2 different ways of looking at life.  Like if a glass is half full or half empty.  I personally look at the glass half full.  Your life would be so depressing if it was half empty.

Zebra’s shouldn’t be put in the zoo’s, i mean it’s great to see them but i would rather see them in the wild.  They are 10x’s better then a horse or a donkey.  Those things are boring to watch.  Also zebra’s escape danger from the lion everyday.  Horses don’t do that.  These zebra’s are action packed.  Well if you want to hear more on my opinion then comment me.

Blue… It’s just amazing.  It’ll lighten up your day when ever your down, and it always makes you happy.

When you go to Hawaii what do you expect???  The blue skies and ocean, and that’s what you get

This picture is crazy.  I didn’t know you could get your camera to do that.  Also the sky is totally blue.

I chose to put this pic up because it’s a big splash of blue.  It just makes your day happier and happier.  There’s many many different colors out there but this is the best and if you disagree then comment back and i’ll tell you you’re wrong.

If you think about it, how many people are actually going to turn off all there electronics???  If you want things to actually happen in America then you have to force it.  No one in America wants to do anything and that’s why we’re the laziest country in the world.  Which brings me to Earth Day.  If one country doesn’t do something then others aren’t and it’s just going to be a big cycle.  We may be the laziest country in the world but, we are also the most looked up to and others look to us for help and guidance.  So if we want a day where no one uses electronics America is going to have to take the first step and others will follow.  That’s what i think about it, if you agree or disagree then comment me so i can see your in site on the whole Earth Day thing.

Harry Potter Podcast

So today we had the opportunity to write an open ended blog.  I thought about idea after idea for hours and hours and couldn’t come up with one.  I eventually came up with one.  A movie review, i thought it was a great idea but, when i saw a new movie it was definitely not appropriate for a school blog( Friday The 13th, i would suggest it for comedy not thriller).  Anyways I then kept on thinking and thinking but nothing came to me.  The slide show thing that Mrs. Hoke gave us for the description was a great help but i still had nothing.  I then thought what a great idea it would be to put down my thought process of choosing what open ended blog I wanted to do.  So i hope this helps you in at least not choosing a bad movie to review.

    As I listened to the podcast i thought about the detail she put into ever second of it.  Jordyn had multiple readers through out the whole thing.  She also had different music for each section.  When the music changed it changed to mood of the podcast and that’s a really good thing to do so the listener understands the story more.

     When i listened to the other podcast they were good but hers just topped all of the ones i listened to.  You could hear the change in the voices.  It also did not bore me at all because she did not go to long but it wasn’t way short. 

     I will really try and work some of what she did in her podcast into mine.  I think it will really help mine to become better.  The thing i want to have the most in my podcast is changing music because really think it sets the mood.  If the mood changes through out it keeps the attention of the listener.  I think listening to her podcast made me want to read the book it seemed interesting.

Jordyn

As I run in the door to drop my stuff off and go to work I see my little sister.  She is just sitting there minding her own business until she realizes I’m home.  She screams with all her might “BRETT!!!!”  Her scream is deafening and then she runs over and gives me the biggest hug imaginable.  As she finishes her hug she starts to jabber on about her new princess crown, princess earrings and princess ring.  She goes on and on about it for about 10 minutes until I leave for work.
